Under the arch

A few steps away from the green door (see post yesterday) there is a little portico, a very ancient one: it is, in fact, the back of the Domus Mercatorum. The little red bricks, the wooden beams and the variety of faded paintings make this place absolutely stunning.
So far, the portico is used as a ... parking for motorbikes. Whoa!

I so love the light and the dark in this photo. Some would lighten it. I think it's perfect. Love the contrast so much. Well done.

Another very "italian" thing! We can see this as having the most artistic parkings in the world. Really beautiful image.
I missed the green door yesterday: a delirium in colors, bricks, wirings, cracks. Wonderful!

We are so spoilt in Italy with art that we use it to park our bikes!!! Lol. I like this. Ciao. A.

Yes, the light and the dark, but also the shapes, the straigt edges and the curves on the roof line. And that exquisite mosaic ...

Just like the Italians to be so casual about their surroundings!! Any other country this would be stuck in a museum! I love this image... I do remember Verona having a lot of really casual beauty everywhere!
