The Doctor's Club

I love to walk in the University zone! The other day I took several pics and actually I have already published a couple here. I like it here because it's so lively! Students coming and going, many of them gathering in front of the University or entering bookshops and cafés.

This is the Doctor's Club Café and I loved it at first sight for its strong colours. It was a quiet morning with few students in front of their books, coffees and cappuccini...
The guy behind the counter noticed me taking pics and smiling asked my husband if I was a spy... We laughed at it over a nice espresso while I explained that I have a photoblog...
Well, at least I hope he'll like my photos!

Students

This morning I walked on the other side of the river Adige, to Veronetta, a very pictoresque and lively district. The University of Verona is here, so this part of the town is always bustling with students. I went into a bar for an espresso and I spent a few minutes looking at this wall covered with photos of young girls and boys, obviously in this bar, obviously having a great time. I was particularly amused to see some handwritten and signed notes where this girl or this guy "declared" he/she would stop drinking for a month.
I liked these photos, they tell a story about being young, having lots of friends, having big times, living such a golden period of ones life, that will never come back. A time when your ways are all still opened and you look at the future with wide, curious eyes...

The march of the students

Today, all over Italy, thousands of students, teachers and school workers marched to protest changes to Italy's school system. Berlusconi's centre-right governament supported the changes that will be cutting billions of euros from primary school, research, university and school in general.
I took this photo this morning in Piazza Erbe. There were hundreds and hundreds of students marching and shouting their statements against the newly launched changes. A lorry leaded the march, loaded with big music speakers that played very good instrumental music and right after the lorry, students, teachers, supporters, took the microphone and spoke their ideas.

I liked the mood and the energy of the parade, which was paceful and rich of contents.
