Autumn colours

Introducing Borgo Venezia, a very interesting area of Verona, just a few minutes drive from city center. Autumn colours are beginning to show up in town.

I walked back to the fountain I posted the other day and noticed some beautiful colours...

First yellow leaves on the ground...making a good contrast against the sampietrini pavement.

Gingko update

A soft, yellow carpet: that's what all the leaves of the Gingkos (there are two) have formed in the last few days falling down, helped by the continuous rain. 

This morning the sun shone for a few hours, bright and warming in the perfectly clean sky...until grey clouds were back in the very early afternoon...

Autumn wind

A sudden gust of wind,
leaves flow everywhere,
whirling down on the cars and on my head.

Colours

The sky is low and grey, I can smell the rain coming. I walk out of the historical centre leaving the town brick wall on my back. I reach Via Valverde: no medieval buildings, no roman remains, no tourists. Just two rows of lovely leafy trees, pastel coloured houses, a few shops.

I stop and take some photos, adjusting the manual mode in order to get the right pale green and yellow of the leaves. No way, I don't do a great job, I rely on your immagination!
