Gap

This looks like it should be a piece to a puzzle for blocks or toys for giant children to play with.

I suppose it is an expansion joint, however, that allows the expansion and contraction of the blocks without them cracking.

Either that, or it is a trap in which people can twist their ankle or foot or drop their keys or cell phones.

It's such a fabulous image. So many parts to it.

Two marble blocks on one of the two "balconies" on the bridge! The structure must have moved somehow, causing the gap to appear.

Looks like giant Lego blocks!

A perfectly matched gap.

I suspect it was built purposely for the concrete to expand during high temperature during the summers.
