Arco dei Gavi

Like many other monuments and sculptures, the roman Gavi Arch is ruined by graffiti. Is this uncivil habit popular in your country or is it only one of the many italian bad things for which my country is renowned for? Uhm... I am being nasty today...

Various statues are "ruined" by graffiti over here as well. Sadly it seems as if the city authorities have given in to the "fight" against it. Guess it takes still a lot of work, mostly at school, to make them understand. A wonderful Friday for you.

It is the same here in Besançon , that's a real shame !

Same in the US cities, too. It seems even more of a shame when graffiti defaces an ancient architectural treasure than a plain fence.

Valeria, graffiti seems to confuse us all over the world, also in my hometwon Tilburg. I do think there are interesting artist, who are worth being looked at. But sometimes it is only vandalism.
