Getting ready...for the Opera
In the last couple of weeks the activity inside the Arena has become hectic. Our huge roman amphitheatre is "getting ready" for the 2009 Opera Festival!
This looked like a river of blood on the portal. Perhaps I got out of bed the wrong side! Can never see too many photographs of this amazing arena. How I'd love to see a performance here.
I like your vibrant color photos like the one with the read chairs but also your black and white pictures! They're very artsy - could be framed and hung on a wall. Minnesota greetings from a new CDP guy in EAGAN - USA. Grazie mille!

This is a striking photo with the red posed against the rough stone! Beautiful work!
What wonderful color! I would love to see an opera there.
The chairs look different shades of red. True? Regardless I want to see more photos from this place.
It's glorious!

The red colour stands out in historical beautiful scenery.
An opera festival? Wow. My husband will be sooo envious when I tell him! Our opera scene is still very much in its infancy.
Oh, I love your photo, by the way. Those red chairs amidst the old stones of the amphitheater are really striking!
I saw Carmen there - cheap day of performance (or day before) seats. Acoustics weren't great but the atmosphere was amazing.
The red chairs look like red carpet. Gorgeous photo!
Looks fantastic with these red chairs!
Although I'm not a great fan of opera, Aida in Verona has always been a big dream of mine. Sooner or later...Love the red chairs too. Ciao. A.
Che belle seggioline rosse!!

How exciting! Will you go? Those red chairs are quite stunning against the natural stone of the amphitheatre!
nice shot, shocking at first!
I envy very, very much and wish you wonderful evenings, Valeria! :-)
Wonderful to see that it's getting ready. It's something that I really would like to attend one day.
Oh oh....how lucky you are. I can imagine the atmosphere. Please, more photos about the festival :).

Verona, Arena.... quanta nostalgia... l'anno scroso ero propriamente li.
Verona era la cittá di miei nonni. Amo l"Italia.
