I am back!
Hello everyone!
I have been dealing with technical problems (storage space and camera battery) lately but today I am back. I hope to be able to keep on with the dayly photo, despite the lack of time for walking around to take pics. I'll do as much as I can!
Thank you all so much for your kind comments and your encouragement :-)

Shadows and lights at the Palazzo del Podestà. The light enhances the beautiful ceiling, the marble floors and the wall paintings.

Valentine's Day #2
Piazza Dante. A big red heart shaped carpet in the middle of the square projected on the screen. On the stage live music and prize giving for the best love letters and poems.
Yesterday Verona was full of love! I went out in the afternoon and the romatic atmosphere was overwhelming. The very heart of town, Piazza Erbe and Piazza Dante were choc-a-bloc with people, especially couples. Sitting outdoors at the cafés, holding hands, smiling.... I saw couples everywhere...
"Verona in Love" with its many events, provided a romantic and unforgettable week end for the thousand of people - and especially couples - who came from all over Italy and abroad.

Antiques in the evening
A few steps from the Arche Scaligere (on the left) and Piazza Dante right after the arch; on the left Vicolo Cavalletto. This is one of the most pictoresque spots of town and in the evening it is absolutely enchanting. I could only hear my steps on the marble sidewalk as I approached my favourite antiques shop...

Christmas market in Piazza Dante
A lovely Christmas market arrived directly from Nurnberg, Germany, into Piazza Dante. The kiosks display a huge variety of handmade wooden toys, decorations for Chrismas trees and various other beautiful items. Loads of people browsing about, but the food and beer stalls were the only ones to have long queues...

Piazza dei Signori
The square is adjacent to Piazza Erbe and it's a favourite meeting point for moms with kids. I have made friends with a bunch of mothers so we often come here in the afternoon. We sit on the marble step just beneath the arches while our children play. We call the square Piazza Dante, (rather than dei Signori), because of the poet's statue. I like it as an alternative to the Park for my daughter: good to play among art and history treasures!
Which is a favourite moms and children place in your town?
