A few steps from the Arche Scaligere (on the left) and Piazza Dante right after the arch; on the left Vicolo Cavalletto. This is one of the most pictoresque spots of town and in the evening it is absolutely enchanting. I could only hear my steps on the marble sidewalk as I approached my favourite antiques shop...

This looks like a warm and inviting area...but why did you hear only your steps on the marble sidewalk? Where are the rest of the people?
