Hints of autumn

First yellow leaves on the ground...making a good contrast against the sampietrini pavement.

Goodbye Summer

Autumn seems to be very near. A chilly, soft rain has been falling for hours soaking the flowerbeds and refreshing the air. I'm sure we'll be having many more mild and sunny days all through october but summer is definitely over and it feels great to spread a light blanket on the bed...
So, before welcoming the autumn with its colours and charm, I want to say "goodbye" to the hot but gorgeous summer in Verona so I chose this pic I took last june. I find it very romantic, I hope you like it too!

The bench

Saturday afternoon at Riva San Lorenzo. This is such a lovely place for a short walk along the river, under the shady trees, just off the main road Corso Cavour.
This is usually a very quiet place, where you can always find a place to sit even in summer, because it's not a popular spot for tourists. Here I like to read and enjoy the view towards Castelvecchio Bridge. Wouldn't it be great to live here and hear the river flow?

Verona, oh Verona!

Here I am, back on track! I have missed you all and I have been so happy to find the many messages you've left. I am really looking forward to visit your blogs and catch up with you.
I decided to start up with a "postcard photo" to welcome you and re-introduce you to this beautiful city.
My commitment will be to lead you through Verona, from the most famous sights to the unknown corners, with an eye on details and city life.
Happy day everyone!

Coming soon...

Hello everyone...
After a long, long pause, I am almost ready to come back daily with my photos from Verona!
I wish to thank you all for your kind comments on my last entry and especially those who became followers despite the blog was "on holiday"!
My city photo archive is almost empty and since I'd like to make an entirely fresh start, I am procrastinating until next week when my little one will be back at school and I'll be able to go out (ALONE) and take some new pics.
Thank you for your patience, I'll soon be visiting your beautiful sites and "knock" on your doors so you'll know I am definitely back on track!
Ciao from Verona!
