Getting ready...for the Opera


In the last couple of weeks the activity inside the Arena has become hectic. Our huge roman amphitheatre is "getting ready" for the 2009 Opera Festival!

    An opera festival? Wow. My husband will be sooo envious when I tell him! Our opera scene is still very much in its infancy.

    I saw Carmen there - cheap day of performance (or day before) seats. Acoustics weren't great but the atmosphere was amazing.

    Although I'm not a great fan of opera, Aida in Verona has always been a big dream of mine. Sooner or later...Love the red chairs too. Ciao. A.

    This looked like a river of blood on the portal. Perhaps I got out of bed the wrong side! Can never see too many photographs of this amazing arena. How I'd love to see a performance here.
